Ahoy Mates!
Mark your calendars for the Stewardship “Ship” lunch immediately
after the morning worship service on March 16. This will be a time of celebration
marking the end of our first stewardship campaign.
Prayer Walk
Sunday afternoon, March 9, members will meet at various times on our property for
a prayer walk. A course with stations will have been prepared.
Overview of our Campaign and Spiritual Journey
We are beginning three-year capital stewardship campaign to raise funds to build and locate
to our new property. Because having our own facility and location will
enhance our ability to impact our community and world for the kingdom of God, there
is a real sense in which this is not so much about us or for us, but for Him and
His glory. Psalm 115:1 says, “Not to us, O Lord, not to us but to your name be the
glory.” It seemed only appropriate that we would make this verse the
theme for our Stewardship Campaign.
How it will Work
Leadership teams were put in place and have been preparing for the
campaign. The formal campaign itself will take place over five weeks, beginning
Sunday, February 10 and ending Sunday, March 16 (Our Mission's Conference will occur
February 29 - March 2). During this five-week period, called the Inspiration Phase,
our entire congregation will focus on principles of biblical stewardship as each
person is led to make a meaningful decision to answer the prayer, “Lord, what would
you do through me to accomplish Your will in my church?” The teaching
and focus on stewardship principles will take place in sermon messages, Sunday School
and Home Groups. During the Inspiration Phase, there will also be behind-the-scenes
prayer as well as a Congregational Prayer Walk on the property on March 9. Our Stewardship
Campaign will culminate on Commitment Sunday, March 16, when pledge cards will be
received during the worship service. There will be a Celebration Luncheon immediately
after the service.
From the Pastor
Dear Redeemer Family,
Throughout history, God has continued to advance His Kingdom in the hearts and lives
of people through the gospel message and teachings of the church. It is my
sincere belief that He has given our church a vision that will inspire us to make
an impact on countless lives in the name our our Lord Jesus Christ.
With vision comes opportunity. Our door of opportunity is our “Not To Us...”
capital stewardship campaign. Through this opportunity, we will be able to
build and move to our property on William Few Parkway in order to have ministries
which will impact our community and world for generations to come. This website
introduces you to the vison of our church and door of opportunity to which God invites
us to enter.
Please take time to study the material received. As you do, pray for God to give
you clarity about His will for you and your family and how to take advantage of
this opportunity to invest yourself in something eternal here at Redeemer.
It is the simple prayer, “God, what is Your will for me as it relates to
Your willfor the church?” Then, by faith, follow His leadership.
The material received will assist you in your spiritual journey. We look forward
to entering together through this great door of opportunity. We pray for the Lord's
blessings in these exciting days to come.
Sincerely,
Charlie Stakely
